Corinth Civil War Interpretative Center

Corinth’s historical mark is most notably documented during the Civil War. With both sides fighting for control of the war and looking to seize the upper hand, military leaders quickly turned their efforts toward Corinth’s transportation routes. For six months in 1882, Corinth was at the heart of the war.

Opened in 2004, The Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center explains to visitors the key role Corinth played in the outcome of the Civil War. The 15,000 sq. ft. facility includes interactive exhibits, a multimedia presentation about the Battle of Shiloh, and an educational video depicting the Battle of Corinth.

While taking part in the center’s interactive exhibits, guests will learn about the events that led to the war, the battle of Shiloh, as well as the siege, occupation, and battle of Corinth. Outside, the interpretative center showcases an extensive courtyard exhibit with a water feature to commemorate 100 years of American history.

Located near the site of Battery Robinett, the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center is open for visitors from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

The Verandah-Curlee House

The Verandah-Curlee House is one of Corinth’s oldest and most historical sites. Originally built in 1857, the home served as headquarters for Confederate military leaders Braxton Bragg, H.W. Halleck, and John B. Hood as they planned their 1862 attack on Union troops.

Guests can transport themselves to this historical time period by stepping inside this attraction. When entering the restored home, visitors will be able to view eighteenth and nineteenth-century antiques, historic paintings, and replicas of Civil War soldiers' furnishings.

Crossroads Museum and Historic Corinth Depot

Once deemed the Crossroads of the South, Corinth’s railways and their historical importance are celebrated at the Crossroads Museum. With views of the famous crossroads, this attraction is a history and train enthusiast’s dream come true. Additionally, guests are given access to rare conductor-level views of passing trains from a second-level viewing platform.

The Crossroads Museum offers visitors an array of subject matters to appreciate under one roof. Along with railroad and Civil War history, the museum displays thousands of artifacts detailing the city’s extensive history in both cultural and industrial pursuits, such as exhibits paying homage to aviation pioneer Roscoe Turner, baseball star Don Blasingame, and NFL standout Jackie Simpson.

The museum offers guests plenty of photo opportunities to document their visit, including a vintage train caboose and a genuine Civil War cannon used during the Battle of Shiloh. Guests can tour the museum Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Corinth Coke Museum

Browse an exceptional collection of authentic Coca-Cola memorabilia at the Corinth Coke Museum. Located in a soda bottling factory that’s across the street from Corinth Coca-Cola Headquarters, the museum offers free admission to explore over 1,000 Coca-Cola artifacts, including old-fashioned drink machines and other commonly found items from the soda fountain era.

The museum is open for guests Monday to -Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
